Everything Was Beautiful – Monoline Lettering Process Video and Digital Print

Brush calligraphy has been a serious obsession of mine for the past 4-5 years. As I’ve perfected my technique (and am still learning more every day), I’ve also been interested in mastering other lettering techniques.

A collection of vintage nibs have come into my possession, many of them different sizes of Speedball B series round nibs. I love creating graphic compositions with a light sketch before using sumi ink to execute with different nib sizes and a straight holder.

“Everything Was Beautiful” in the process video to the right is a Kurt Vonnegut quote that has always spoke to me. I decided to make the artwork into a digital print as well, which required scanning the original and reworking the design in Adobe Illustrator.

If you are interested, I implore you to check the link below which goes to our Etsy listing for the item. And stay tuned for more monoline lettering goodness! As always, we take custom orders. Select “request custom” on any Etsy listing or send us a contact form and we’ll get back to you with a quote ASAP!

CutCardStock Design Team – Project 19 – Simple Frosty Metallic Hand Lettered Die Cut Card

We are so pleased to be working with the CutCardStock team! Each month, using their products in order to make two themed projects, and hosting step-by-step DIY instructions on their blog.

On our blog, we will have full YouTube videos showing the process as well. So be sure to check both places to get the full story!

For our nineteenth project we will take you through our process of hand lettering with brush pen and turning what we letter into a digital die cut file for a stacked card stock card sentiment.
